Johana Cornejo Cisneros
Johana Abizaid Cornejo Cisneros a Paralegal at Contreras & Metelska, PA. She assists in the preparation of client cases assisting clients with filling out forms, translating documents, gathering evidence for client cases, assisting client with affidavits, as well as providing support to our attorneys.
Johana graduated with a B.A. degree in Global Studies with an emphasis in Human Rights and Justice in May. She was an intern at the Advocates for Human Rights in downtown Minneapolis. While there, she assisted with intakes/interviews, asylum cases, SJIS cases, and translation of documents for clients. She also helped with in-person translation. Johana has been active in the immigrant activist community from a young age as immigration is a topic that is very close and dear to her.
Johana is originally from Guadalajara, JL Mexico but has lived in the U.S. since the age of 4. Minneapolis is where she considers to be home, as she has lived here almost her entire life. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, art in all forms, and learning about different cultures.
Johana is bilingual in English and Spanish.
