Mike Sevilla is a passionate immigration attorney who has been involved in various facets of immigration law since 2012. He started his immigration law career defending undocumented immigrants from removal, representing asylees, and providing valuable advice to minors in removal proceedings. Mike moved on to serve as associate attorney at a boutique immigration firm in New York City. There he practiced many areas of business immigration law, handling various types of permanent and temporary employment based visas including: O-1, O-2, H-1B, P-1, EB-1A, E-3, E-2, TN, and B-1 visas, as well as, I-539, I-130, I-90, I-765, N-400, PERM and Adjustment of Status, petitions and applications. The firm had a highly developed O-1 (artist visa) practice. Therefore, Mike helped an array of artists secure O-1 visas, from Grammy award winning musicians, tattoo artists, chefs, interactive designers, music producers, models, fashion stylists, visual artists, and character actors, to name a few.
Mike holds a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Azusa Pacific University, where he spent a semester abroad at Oxford University. During his second and third years in law school, he served on the executive board of the Brooklyn Law Immigration Society (BLIS) and as Articles Editor for the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial and Commercial Law. Mike is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association and has served on the following committees: Continuing Legal Education (CLE), Corporate Practice and Social. Mike is admitted to practice law in both Minnesota and New York.
